DESCRIPTION
The TL-VDS600-14 is a 14-slots PICMG 3.0
AdvancedTCA compliant, designed and built for a central office
environment.
AdvancedTCA defines a new equipment generation suitable for both
Telecommunication and Data Processing applications.
TechnoLabs offers a family of optimized ATCA shelf, card controller,
RTM modules and complete software solutions that allow a variety
of architectural implementation.
The key benefits of the TechnoLabs ATCA platform include lower
materials costs, faster time to market, and lower development
costs.
14 ATCA SHELF
- Compliance to the PICMG 3.0
- 14 Slot Dual Star backplane
- Dual Shelf manager
- Dual 48V DC input terminals
- 2xPEM (Power Entry Module)
- Alarm Panel
- 3x pluggable removable fan trays
- 1x air filtering
- Advanced front to rear cooling
- RTM Modules
ATCA Performance
The high frequency signal routing between
slots on the backplane , requires clear signal transmission without
compromising the system stability.
TechnoLabs uses advanced techniques of simulation (design and
thermal) to avoid causes which can degrade the signal quality.
- Backplane
The TL-VDS600-14 backplane supports a maximum
of 14 slots in Dual Star Topology where a pair of Hub Boards provides
redundant interconnects between node boards with signal speeds
up to 3.125 Gbps.
Star Topologies are commonly referred to as point-to-point and
point-to-multipoint networks.
The backplane includes :
- Base Interface
- Fabric Interface
- Update Channel Interface
- Synchronization Clock Interface
- IPMB bus
- Power Distribution
The TL-VDS600-14 system , according
to the ATCA standards, is capable of dissipating as much power
as 200W per single-slot. The system is powered by two redundant
primary 48V power feeds. Power is provided by power connectors
mounted on the two rear PEMs.
The TL-VD600-14 also performs the necessary emissions filtering
functions as required in the PICMG3.0 specification to meet the
requirements for conducted and radiated emissions.
- System Management
The TL-VDS600-14 provides an intelligent
system management responsible of the health status and correct
functionality of the whole shelf.
The control is based on a couple redundant of shelf manager cards.
These cards talk with the IPMC controllers (Intelligent Platform
Management Controller) distributed on each board that can be equipped
in the shelf using dual Intelligent Platform Management Bus (IPMB).
- Telco Alarms
The TL-VDS600-14 provides standard telecom
alarms. The Critical, Major, Minor and Power conditions are provided
by the Alarm Unit FRU.
- Software
The Basic Software on the ATCA system
is based on the operating system LINUX with additional system
related services.
A Web interfaces with protected access is also provided.
